Alhamdulillah all went well.
also I m going for a break....
I will be away for a family retreat.... The Safety of Life After This Life,,,, (Akhirat)

STEP 2 - Common Stages of OSHMS Development
Basically whenever an organization decides to implement OSHMS for whatever reason we need to consider that the main objective is to use the OSHMS development process and a "CHANGE MANAGEMENT" opportunity.
The immediate concern is to establish development rules. You may act as the inhouse OSH advisor or a OSH Consultant but then again, have you established your role? What is the management perception on your role? What is expected out of you. Set the ground rules right.
Normally before that happen you may need to "SELL OSHMS" to your employer or client. There is no one way to do it except by getting to know how your employer/client perception on OSH.

STEP 1 - The Real Reason Why Employer Persue OSHMS
Before we start we need to trash out in the open why employers subscribe to OSHMS....
Whenever I recommend any party to proceed in developing OSHMS I will explain the entire development process which they should know. So we need to get the objectives right.
The most common reasons are as follows:-
1. Customer driven requirement such as contractual obligations - definition of clauses, trend of buyer portfolio (Responsible Buyer) which will include products and services which comply Quality, Environmental Friendly, Contribute to Sound Social Behaviors and many many others.
Actually it relates to ETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES - The components of MORALITY!!
2. Corporate Risk Management requirements such as Corporate Governance compliance for public listed company such as SA8800 (Social Accountability Standards)

Back from Brunei
Alhamdulillah after 2 days of trg my trip was very exhausting. I remembered my brother Hj Mahmood back in 2005 when we went to UK for the IOSH Conference in Cardiff. Our flight was with Royal Brunei and transit first at Bandar Seri Bengawan.. Not much changes at the airport.
OK.... I saw a couple of the followers known associates and students, but I will need to have the following details. Send me by email.
1. The type of workplace ?
2. Your role ? SHO, HSE Advisor, OSH Consultant, Student etc.... this will allow me to provide the guide according to your role...
3. Your email that can accept huge files???

Invitation still open
Today I found my training in LAW useful. One of my clients receive a summons from DOE. As the details of the summons was complicated.... my advice without prejudice was to seek appropriate LEGAL ADVICE.... to determine on the courses of action including request the postponement of the hearing date so as to avoid inconvenience to all parties.
Anyway when it comes to public concern it is a no go for non compliance. However in this case there is a possible technical flaw in the collection of evidence on the part of the prosecutors!
OK........
Tomorrow I m off to Brunei to conduct training in OHSAS 18001:2007, 2 days only. Its been along time since the last visit. I remember I was the 2nd Office of MV Bunga Butang a coastal container vessel. One of the memorable event was the Mosque near Kampong Air....
When I get back next week we will start insyallah

Occupational Safety & Health
Greetings to all my current students and x students... Finally I have decided to talk about OSH in the open. Whatever the consequences I will focus on the way we should participate in the sharing of resources. I would prefer to perform a mentor mentee relationship. ....
